Transfer Student Application Process

A transfer student is any undergraduate student with greater than six attempted credit hours, excluding remedial/developmental (zero-level courses) or pre-college work and excluding credit hours accumulated by concurrently enrolled high school students. All steps are required to be admitted and enrolled.

    Complete the online application at www.langston.edu/apply-now.

    Select the “Langston University Transfer/Urban Campus” application

    Submit all official transcripts

    Complete the FAFSA form (Visit www.fafsa.ed.gov, school code = 003157)

    Submit an official transcript from all colleges attended. Transcripts may be delivered in person or mailed to: Langston University-OKC Office of Admissions, Recruitment and Outreach Programs 6700 N. Martin Luther King Blvd. Oklahoma City, OK 73111

 

Readmission Student Application Process

A re admissions student is any student who has previously attended Langston University but was not enrolled during the immediate past semester (except the summer session).

    Complete the online application at www.langston.edu/apply-now

    Select the Langston University Transfer/Urban Campus” application.

    Submit new official transcripts.

    Complete the FAFSA (Visit www.fafsa.ed.gov, school code = 003157). 

    Submit all new official transcript(s) from all colleges attended since you last attended Langston University. Transcripts may be delivered in person or mailed to: Langston University-OKC Office of Admissions, Recruitment and Outreach Programs | 6700 N. Martin Luther King Blvd. Oklahoma City, OK 73111

 

Special Non-Degree Student Application Process

A non-degree seeking student is any student who wishes to enroll in courses without intending to pursue a degree may be permitted to enroll in no more than nine credit hours without submitting academic credentials or meeting the academic curricular or performance requirements of the institution. All steps are required to be admitted and enrolled.

    Complete the online application at www.langston.edu/apply-now.

    Select the Langston University Transfer/Urban Campus” application.

    Submission of transcripts is not required.

    Non-degree seeking students are not required to submit official transcripts.

    Complete the FAFSA (Visit www.fafsa.ed.gov, school code = 003157)

 

Urban Campus Scholarships

Langston University Urban Campuses (Oklahoma City/Tulsa) award tuition waivers of various amounts to eligible applicants as funds remain available to students who are first time entering/re-admitted transfer and graduate students. Students must be admitted in good standing and have a current year FASFA form on file. To file visit, www.fafsa.ed.gov, please include school code = 003157. Awards must be accepted within the time frame designated in the correspondence or the offer will be re-allocated to another deserving student.

 

Urban Campus Tuition Waiver Scholarship

The Urban Campus Tuition Waiver Scholarship is available to incoming or re-admitted graduate and students attending the Oklahoma City or Tulsa campus.

 

Consideration Criteria

    Applicants must be admitted to the university and in good academic standing.

    Applicants must be an Oklahoma resident and US citizen.

    Applicants must file the FAFSA. To file visit, www.fafsa.ed.gov, please include school code = 003157. 

    Undergraduate applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.5.

    Graduate applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0.

Students will be notified through their Langston e-mail account. Students must accept the award by the posted deadline, and may only receive one tuition waiver scholarship from the University per academic year.  If the scholarship is not accepted by the deadline the scholarship will be awarded to another student. The Urban Campus Tuition Waiver is awarded for the academic year and will be disbursed in the fall and spring.  Spring awards are contingent on enrollment status of at least (6) six credit hours and GPA requirements.
