Our top scholars, scientists, programmers, professors, and farmers have had tremendous success conducting research and training through the program in our state-of-the-art research facilities. AIGR is an international leader in research, development, and training programs. Our advanced research extends beyond animal science, our teams conduct studies within the Center for Horticulture and Agronomy Research, the Aquatic Resources Center, the Center for Biotechnology and Research and Education, the Agribusiness and Rural/Urban Economic Development, and the Family and Consumer Science Research Team. Top scientists from around the world come to the institute to train in research and extension which has led to global impact. Our leading scientists collaborate with academic researchers and international business partners to find key solutions through bold research and advancing technology. Our teams have led research and development programs throughout Africa, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia. Since 2000, scientists from more than 30 countries have come to LU to pursue their research agendas. LU hosted scientists from Algeria, Argentina, Brazil, Canada, China, Ethiopia, France, Greece, Kenya, Mexico, Morocco, and Spain.

Currently, our undergraduate study abroad opportunities include internships in Shanghai, China, and Costa Rica.
