Spring 2020 Textbook Return Protocols

Dear Students,

As our semester comes to a close, Textbook Central is working to make returning your textbooks safe and easy. In addition to returning your textbooks via mail, the following protocols will be in place for returning textbooks on the Langston Campus.

Standard In-Person Returns Monday, May 18 - Friday, May 29, 2020

  • Textbook Central will be open Monday – Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
  • Textbook Central will be closed on Saturday, Sunday, and Memorial Day (May 23 - 25, 2020)
  • Students may return textbooks during operating hours (M-F, 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.)

Special Accommodations for Weekends and After-Hours Returns

We recognize that some students may not be able to return textbooks during the operating hours stated above. The following special accommodations have been created to assist.

  • Students may return their books with Housing staff on Saturday, Sunday, Memorial Day (May 25th) and after hours while on the Langston Campus
  • Housing staff will ask students to complete a form acknowledging return of the book(s)
  • The acknowledgment form will be signed by the Housing staff member accepting books on the student’s behalf for return to Textbook Central
  • Housing staff will return all submitted textbooks on behalf of the student the next business day to Textbook Central where the acknowledgement form will also be signed by a bookstore staff member
  • A copy of the fully-executed acknowledgement form will be kept on file with Housing

Free Textbook Returns by FedEx

Check your Langston University email for a message from Follett, our textbook partner.

  • You will receive reminder emails with instructions for mailing textbooks back to the bookstore via FedEx free of charge
  • These emails contain a link to generate a free return shipping label and packing slip
  • To avoid late charges, please have your book(s) in transit by before May 31, 2020.

We hope the processes outlined above assist in easing any concerns regarding safe and timely return of textbooks. Should you have questions regarding textbook return, please contact Textbook Central or visit the bookstore website.

We wish you the best as you complete this semester!
