Langston University Band


The Langston University Band is responsible for providing quality music for the university, the community, and its members. The band is also a laboratory that provides hands-on leadership experiences for aspiring band directors and students who seek to enhance their leadership skills, confidence, self-discipline, and people skills.

Tentative Schedule of Events


- October 20th       "Old School Show" [for the LUMP Alumni]

- October 27th       "Battle of the Bands"  Langston vs Texas College Game. The Night Before @ Texas College 6pm in Tyler Texas

- November 3rd     " Battle for the South" Battle of the Bands At our Own Stadium "W. E. Anderson Stadium" 4pm. (Fundraiser for the Marching "Pride" Band Program)

- November 9th     "Battle of the Bands"   The Marching Pride do a Showcase against one of the Premiere Powerhouse Bands in the Country... The "Talladega Tornadoes" from Alabama. 

- January 14th        "MLK Grand Parade" in Houston, Texas. [This is the largest MLK parade in the Country with over 400 entries]

- 89'ers  Parade in Guthrie, OK

- HBCU's Softball tournament Hosted by Langston University

- Mardi Gras in Baton Rouge, LA. in February.
