Class of 1930
 Daisy H. Simmons and Sisters Earlis Vickers and Eddie McCook will be celebrating 300+ years. LU oldest alumni member 104 years old.

Class of 1937 
Lillian Johnson Hemmitt (deceased), estate gives LU its first largest single donation of $1.2 million dollars.

Class of 1944 
Clara Luper was conferred an Honorary Doctor of Human Letters degree from Oklahoma City University at its fall 2006 commencement.

Class of 1950 
Violet Alford Patterson (LM) receives the Pinnacle Award in Education.  The Pinnacle Award is given by the Mayor's Commission on the Status of Women and the Tulsa Women's Foundation.

Class of 1950 
Dr. James Bolton was approved November 2006 by U. S. Commission on Civil Rights for his appointment to the California State Advisory Committee.

Class of 1953

14th President Dr. Ernest L. Holloway (LM)- Retires from LU after 41 years of service, 25 years as president.

Helen Franks Miner (LM) was elected as Canadian County Retired Educators Person of the Year. 

Class of 1961
Marchita Glover (RM)- Retires from LU after 11 years of service. Mrs. Glover was a Residence Hall Manager.

Class of 1963
Romie Willis- Retires from the City of Altus Electric Department after 37 years.  Mr. Willis was the Assistant Superintendent.  

Class of 1964
Sherman Lewis (LM)- Retires from LU after 8 years of service. Mr. Lewis was the Center of Outreach Programs Director.

Class of 1966
Juanita "Mama" Goff (LM)- Retires from LU after 40 years of service.  Ms. Goff was an Upward Bound and Talent Search Counselor.

Class of 1967
Rozalyn Luster-Washington, Retires from LU after 21 years of service.  Ms. Washington was the Associate Professor of Health Physical Education and Recreation.

Class of 1969
Joyce Henderson (LM)- Retires from Oklahoma City Public Schools after 36 years of service. Mrs. Henderson was the Executive Director of School and Community Services.

Class of 1968
Dr. Elbert Jones (LM)- Retires from LU after 29 years of service.  Dr. Jones was the Vice President of Student Affairs. 

Class of 1972
Larry Chandler (RM)- Retires from LU after 11 years of service.  Mr. Chandler was an Outreach Specialist.  

Class of 1974
Chris Ann Marzette- Retires from Boley Schools after 33 years of service.  Mrs. Marzette taught seventh through twelfth grades.  

Class of 1976
Opio Toure (LM) - Leaves the Oklahoma House of Representatives to Langston University as a professor in the School of Arts and Sciences.

Dr. Linda Ware Toure (LM) - Appointed to the Oklahoma Board of Juvenile Affairs. Dr. Toure is the Executive Director for Student Performance in the Oklahoma City Public Schools District.

Class of 1978
Merrilan K. Bruner- Retires from LU after 15 years of service.  Ms. Bruner was a Residence Hall Manager.

Class of 1982
Loretta Franks- Retires from LU after 24 years of service.  Mrs. Franks was the Writing Laboratory Technician/Instructor.

Class of 1989
Janet Bentley-Hired as the new Perry Elementary School principal.  In addition to starting her own cattle company called "CowBelles" in the Stillwater area.

Class of 1994
Baron D. Thrower (LM)- Senior Vice President, Technology Strategy & Enterprise Architecture at Bank of America.

Class of 1995
Brad Enzbrenner names designated broker at Homes Unlimited.  He has consistently been the top producer for Homes Unlimited.

Class of 1998
Christopher Watts to wed Myeshia Rusing July 1, 2006.  Christopher is a LU Offensive Line Coach.  He will also graduate May 2006 with his Master's degree in Urban Education and join the NFL N.Y. Giants as a college talent scout in August 2006.

Myeshia Rusing to wed Christopher Watts July 1, 2006.  Myeshia major in Accounting and is employed by Xerox. Christopher received his Master's degree 2006 in Urban Education from LU.

Shawnta Lang-Idoko names store manager of the Wal-Mart Store in Gainesville, FL.

Lora Keith retires from LU after 24 years.  Mrs. Keith was a Honors Program Administrative Specialist.

Class of 2002
Charles E. Thompson is a residential real estate sales associate with Realty Concepts, Edmond, OK.  Also, he owns an entertainment promotions company and a property investment and management business.

Class of 2003
Tammy L. Young and Jeffrey A. Space were married on April 1, 2006.  Tammy major in business administration at LU/Tulsa.

Class of 2004
Kendrick Young will debut his play "Cain and Abel's Am I My Bother's Keeper."  Also, two plays underway "Rev. Do - Right" and "You Didn't Want Me Then, You Don't Want Me Now."

Class of 2005
Wynea L. Milton and Joe D. Buford were married on November 23, 2006.  Both are employed with the USDA-NRCS as Soil Conservationist.
