Message from the Dean
Welcome to Langston University’s School of Agriculture and Applied Sciences. The school has a rich history that has helped set the foundation of the University. The school’s goal is to operate within the conceptual framework of the land grant mission. Its mission is to prepare students for modern and sustainable careers in various fields in Oklahoma, the United States and around the world. This is done through a combination of teaching, research and extension for a well-rounded education. The school offers degree programs in various fields, including Family and Consumer Sciences, Agriculture and Natural Resources and Aquaculture Programs. The school of Agriculture and Applied Sciences is also the home of the renowned E. (Kika) de la Garza American Institute for Goat Research. The Institute houses state-of-the-art facilities for teaching, research and student learning. The School of Agriculture and Applied Sciences invites you to be a part of Langston University’s rich history.
